296 Donations - AMAZING!
WOW, what a fantastic year for SPA’s Club RED Challenge 2011! An absolutely amazing number of donations - 296 donations in only the second year of the challenge! It was a close finish with two universities tying for second place with 22% of donations.
First Congratulations must go to SPU who charged home with a massive 87 donations saving 261 lives. Congratulations SPU a fantastic effort, 24.17% of donations to student population. A close second was UTASSPA (ROZELLE) and SOAPS who tied on 22% donations per student population, 11 and 22 donations respectively, saving 99 lives between them.
A fantastic effort from both universities. Third place went to PARASOC with 50 donations and savings 150 lives.

Collectively SPA’s Club RED challenge 2011 has contributed 296 donations to Australia’s blood bank, saving a massive 888 lives. SPA would like to congratulate and thank every paramedic student who donated to Club RED, your efforts are truly admirable and never forgotten.
Last year in SPA's inaugural Club RED challenge there were 112 donations. SPA was very happy with so many donations, but over double that number one year later is staggering and very humbling. A truly amazing effort, and one that may have saved 888 lives but touched countless more! Well Done!
